⛷ Downhill Skiing

Only 16 miles from Billy’s Hideout, Coffee Mill Ski Area gives you the resort experience (lifts, groomed runs, rentals). Downhill skiing and snowboarding, the terrain is good for family outings or beginner/intermediate skiers.

🎿 Cross-Country Skiing

Winter transforms Pepin into a haven of snow-covered trails and peaceful moments.. Enjoy groomed trails, scenic routes, and backcountry/back-wood options in the region. Cross-Country Skiing (WI DNR) 

• Tips:
  • Be sure to check for local grooming reports / trail passes, as many Nordic trails require a permit or parking pass.
  • Dress for changing weather: the lake valley can have wind, ice, and variable snow cover.
  • If you like a quiet outing (trees, lake views, solitude) rather than big lifts, this is a great choice.

⛷ Snowshoeing

Bundle up, grab a pair of our complimentary snowshoes in Billy’s Hideout, and explore the outdoors. Stepping atop the snow is a peaceful way to slow down, breathe in the crisp air, and enjoy the quiet magic of the season.

This was located in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! The drive is breathtaking! This was a great place to decompress and get away from the usual screen time and busyness of day today. The home is very accommodating and comfortable. The trails were fun to walk on and there was plenty of activities to do in the house and around my three-year-old really enjoyed the trains that would go by. The pickle factory was absolutely delicious. I would not hesitate to book this cabin again!
